Government College of Pharmacy was established in 2009 in the Government Polytechnic Campus, Near Thiba Palace, Ratnagiri - 415612, Maharashtra. It is a fully state government college spread over 2.60 acres, offering a four-year Bachelor course in Pharmacy with an intake of 40 students. The college is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

With continuous pursuit of excellence, the institute introduced a Post-Graduate Course in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) with a specialization in Pharmaceutics in 2021, with an intake of 12 students. The college has made remarkable progress in higher and professional education, with dedicated, highly motivated, experienced, and qualified faculty members. The institute features laboratories equipped with advanced sophisticated technologies.
